 Manhattan Magic is a classy jazz quartet featuring the truly gifted jazz, blues and soul singer Lesley Alexander from New York. Lesley performs swinging, melodic, rhythmic jazz and funky versions of some of the best "standards" from the Great American Songbook plus Latin, blues and soul numbers. She is a cool and sophisticated artist creating a great ambience and connection with the audience wherever she performs, whether at private or public venues. This duo, trio or quartet consists of piano, double bass, drums and saxophone if required; featuring excellent musicians who play regularly at jazz venues and private parties. Lesley has returned to the UK after a versatile international career. She has performed regularly for many years at top clubs and 5-star hotels in the USA and worldwide, including Germany, France, Spain, South Africa, Australia, Japan and the Far East. Her exceptional vocal talents have been recognised in many ways such as:  

·The great singer/songwriter Paul  Anka composed for her.

  Lesley sang 'Love is a Four Letter Word' with The Roy Budd Orchestra for the soundtrack of the iconic Michael Caine film 'Get Carter'.

·          Performing  on various TV and radio shows in the UK and USA.

·          Touring in the USA with her own band

·          Recording contracts in the UK and USA with Mercury and United Artists labels.

·         Performing  at some of the best night clubs in New York, including the Playboy Club, the Blue Note and the Cotton Club.

·         Often being booked at major venues to follow on from world famous artists such as Dionne Warwick, Sammy Davis Jnr and Jack Jones.
